What it is like
The water here is the clearest on this side of Gozo, which is why the boat trips stop. The beach itself is small and shingly, but the rock platforms either side are where most people actually settle. Across the channel you are looking at Comino and the Blue Lagoon traffic.
The wind
Ħondoq faces east across the channel. An lvant or a grigal brings swell and the channel chop, which is sharper here than the open coast because of the boat wash. With anything from the west it is flat.
Getting in
Shingle at the top of the beach, then rock. Water shoes are worth having.
