Daħlet Qorrot

A working boat bay below Nadur, with brightly painted boathouses cut into the rock and very few people.

What it is like

Mostly a fishermen’s bay. A row of boathouses is cut straight into the rock, painted in the usual colours, and there is a patch of coarse sand with rock either side. It is one of the quietest swimmable bays on Gozo and it stays that way because there is nothing here to buy.

The wind

It faces northeast. A grigal puts swell in and makes the entry awkward over the rock. With anything from the south or west it is calm.

Bring everything

No kiosk, no toilets, no shade. There is nothing here at all, which is the point, but plan for it.
